Kish Island to host Iran's 1st FinTech Conference

TEHRAN, Oct. 04 (MNA) – Digital Finance Institute will organize the 1st FinTech Conference in Iran’s Kish Island.

Kish Island’s Shayegan Hotel will host the conference in October 7-8 to see the prospects of ‘business in Iran and the future of fintech (Financial Technologies) and banking.” The official website of the event has called the major themes of the conference as ‘FinTech Innovation,’ ‘Bitcoin,’ ‘Financial Inclusion,’ ‘Payments,’ ‘Finance,’ ‘Blockchain,’ ‘Law,’ ‘Trade,’ and ‘Doing Business in Iran.’

“The topics at the Conference center around FinTech and will include sessions on the role of innovation labs to drive technology, banking and finance, Bitcoin, smart cities and renewable energy, emerging payments, Iran’s potential to emerge as a finance hub post-sanctions, business opportunities in Iran and the growing importance of social banking with a case study on payments to solve financial inclusion for the refugee crisis,” wrote microfinancegateway, a financial tech website, about the event.

The major speakers of the conference will be Alida Skold, of SanaPay, acting from the US; Christine Duhaime, of Digital Finance Institute, acting from Vancouver, Canada; Kris Hansen, of KRIS HANSEN, of Axxiome North America, Janos Barberis, of Hong Kong University, Hong Kong; ESSOUKAN MOUANGUE, of PayHub Solutions Inc., acting from Vancouver, Canada; Omar Tria, of Mazars Accompangy Tunisia; Inna Amesheva, of Hong Kong University; and John Weru, of PayHub East Africa, acting from Kigali, Rwanda.
